Investigation of the 3D Printing Process Utilizing a Heterophase System

Direct ink writing (DIW) requires careful selection of composition with specific rheological properties, and it has limitations, such as the inability to create overhanging parts or branched geometries. This study presents an investigation into enhancing 3D printing process through use a heterophase system, aiming overcome these limitations. A modification was carried out in printer construction, involving adjustments structural elements responsible for extrusion device’s movement. Additionally, method obtaining system based on gelatin microparticles developed enable upgraded printer. The structure properties varying concentration, were thoroughly examined. material’s viscosity ranged from 5.4 32.8 kPa·s, exhibiting thixotropic pseudoplastic behavior, long-term stability at 20 °C. technology successfully implemented using different concentrations. highest product quality achieved consisting 4.5 wt.% gelatin, which exhibited 22.4 enabling production products without spreading compromising geometrical integrity.
